The Shaded Blade

Below is the recipe for The Shaded Blade, the inaugural drink and Commander featured in episode 1 of Myth & Mirth’s “Show Me Your Deck” hosted by Dungeon Munster featuring Ian Irland.

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Hot Water

1 Tsp Ceremonial Grade Matcha

2 oz Coconut Rum

1 oz Peach Schnapps

2 oz Pineapple Juice

Ice

Pineapple Wedge for Garnish

RECIPE

Heat up water but don’t let it boil. 170°F or 67 °C is plenty.

Gently mix the matcha powder and hot water until a velvety, rich green liquid appears.

Fill shaker with ice and add in the Coconut Rum, Peach Schnapps, Pineapple Juice, and liquid matcha.

Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

Fill a glass (make it a fancy one!) full of ice and double strain the cocktail mix into the glass.

Garnish with a pineapple leaf, wedge of pineapple skin, or pineapple slice on a cocktail pick.
